Welcome to Re:Hope Southside

We want you to know that God loves you; and that there really is a hope for your future.

We are delighted to announce that we have launched our new location in Shawlands!

For years we have had a vision to be a church that empowers people to bring the gospel to many parts of our city. In an incredible response to our prayers, God has opened up an opportunity for us to purchase South Shawlands Church of Scotland’s building. This is a beautiful building in a wonderful location, and is significant to many in our Re:Hope community who already live and work there. We expect to see God’s life-transforming love impact many as we join with Him in what He is already doing in the Southside.

We want to invite you to be a part of this new and exciting opportunity! If you feel God has put it on your heart to be involved in this new church, I would love to hear from you! You can e-mail

Sundays at Re:Hope Southside will begin with prayer at 9am.

After prayer there’s an opportunity to mingle and enjoy some drinks and snacks.

The service will start at 10am with notices and an opportunity for people to share what God has been doing in their lives.

We then have a time of worship, a message, and a second worship time. If you’d like to take communion or receive prayer, these are available during the second worship time.

Children’s ministry will be available with Crèche (0-2), Crèchendo (2-4) and Wee:Hope (5-12)

Preservice prayer, 9am // Kids registration 9.45am // Main Service 10am

If you would like to watch a sample service at Re:Hope Southside, you can do so here.

Free Parking

The car park at Shawlands Arcade offers up to 2 hours of free parking. This is just a 5 minute walk across Kilmarnock road to our church. While there is occasionally parking available immediately outside our building, we would encourage you, with respect to our neighbours, to consider other options.

We have not yet installed bike racks, but any cyclists would be welcome to chain bikes to the inside of our railings, at their own risk.

Public Transport

The closest train station is Pollokshaws East which is less than 5 minutes walk away, or Shawlands which is just over 10 minutes walk away. Additionally there are a number of buses along Kilmarnock road.

Disabled Access

We are deeply sorry to say at present the building (built in 1912) has several steps to enter the main sanctuary. While we are making plans to make it as easy as possible for disabled access, these plans will not be in place immediately. Because this is a very important matter to us, our welcome team will be on hand to help anyone who requires assistance.

Bible Read Through (BRT) began from a desire to see the whole church reading through the Bible year after year, growing together in our knowledge and love of God through His Word.

Re:Hope’s Bible Read Through Groups are focussed around doing this together and are at the core of the church’s community. The groups offer a great opportunity to get plugged into the church, forge friendships, share prayers, and immerse yourself in the Bible together.

What does being part of a BRT look like?
–   Every week you read a book or several books of the Bible.
–   Highlight / take notes of what stands out to you.
–   Meet up with your group on a set time every week
–   During the BRT-Group meetings, share 3 things that stood out to you from the week’s reading
–   Before you finish the meeting, pray for one another.

Our serving teams are a great way to meet people, help others, and serve God at the same time.

It takes a lot of volunteers to make our Sunday gatherings and weekly events happen! If you call Re:Hope Southside your home, then we would like to help you find an area to serve in.

We are currently looking for volunteers for the following teams:

- Welcome and Hospitality

- Kids

- Worship

- Tech

To join a team, please email and she will help you get plugged in.
